2020 Division1 VBC Summer Programming

Join the best summer camps, youth training, and outdoor volleyball in the area! All programs are designed to increase opportunities to  athletes of all skill sets from elite to beginner and are led by Division1 coaches, current college athletes and alumni.

We're thrilled to be getting back to training, but we're also extremely committed to ensuring that our programming is set up and run responsibly. To that end, our schedule for this summer's offerings will be steadily rolled out over the coming weeks to allow for the time needed to plan around a new set of health and safety guidelines for club participation. We'll continue adding new training options as quickly as we can, and ask for your continued understanding and patience as we navigate a return to "full speed".

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

AUGUST INDOOR TRAINING

Indoor Training is BACK in early August with a variety of new programs! All Indoor Training will take place at LoVerde Recreation Center in Niles. Click here to see our indoor volleyball page!

Setters & Attackers:

  • This program focuses on offense and developing the setter-hitter connection. Advance your skills by digging into the details of your technique,  developing new shots and tempo control, and growing your understanding of what makes up an effective offense in volleyball!

First Contact:

  • This camp is centered around our first contact on the ball - serving, passing, & defense. In these sessions we will cover serving zones/seams and how/when to attack them, passing and defensive responsibilities, and how to prepare for a play/contact based on what we already know. Learn to use what you see on the court to your advantage and set your team up for success!

Skills Camp:

  • While our previous two programs are more specific in their focus, our Skills Camp brings us back to a more general level of the game and allows for athletes to hone skills on multiple fronts through fast-paced drills and gameplay. Ideal for athletes who wish to improve across the board,  these sessions will provide reps for every skill required of your role on the court!

Sand Volleyball With Loyola University's Matt McCarthy

Compete and learn the beach game this summer with our 2020 Sand Volleyball training program! Beach volleyball provides athletes with a wide range of benefits that transition to the indoor game, including better conditioning, increased vertical, improved all around volleyball skill-set, and teamwork.

Each session will run 1.5 hour practices twice per week, for a total of 6 training dates. All  practices will be held at Prairie View Park - see our sand page for additional scheduling details. Please note that you should keep the athlete's grade for the upcoming fall in mind when registering (9th grade in the fall = High School registration).

Grass Volleyball

Lace up and take on a brand new outdoor option this summer with our 2020 Grass Volleyball training program! Much like on the sand, grass volleyball provides athletes with a wide range of benefits that transition to the indoor game, including better conditioning, body control, increased vertical, improved all around volleyball skill-set, and teamwork.

Each Grass Camp session will run 2 hour practices twice per week, for a total of 4 training dates.  All practices will be held at Fairview on the fields near our usual gym entrance. Please note that you should keep the athlete's grade for the upcoming fall in mind when registering (9th grade in the fall = High School registration).
