2020 Division1 VBC Summer Programming

Join the best summer camps, youth training, and outdoor volleyball in the area! All programs are designed to increase opportunities to  athletes of all skill sets from elite to beginner and are led by Division1 coaches, current college athletes and alumni.

We're thrilled to be getting back to training, but we're also extremely committed to ensuring that our programming is set up and run responsibly. To that end, our schedule for this summer's offerings will be steadily rolled out over the coming weeks to allow for the time needed to plan around a new set of health and safety guidelines for club participation. We'll continue adding new training options as quickly as we can, and ask for your continued understanding and patience as we navigate a return to "full speed".

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Indoor Volleyball

We are hoping to make our return to the indoor courts as quickly as possible, and we will have a few different program options finalized for our athletes and families soon. Whether you are looking for team-based training, positional skill-work, introductory sessions for beginners, or some one on one work in private lessons, we are preparing our programs to hit the ground running shortly.

  • Team Training: This program emphasizes game-like scenarios and drills, allowing for athletes to engage with some of the competitive aspects of training that we have missed out on throughout the earlier phases of reopening. (Disclaimer - you do not need a pre-existing team nor are we assigning teams, this is simply training that focuses on team play rather than specific skill work!)
  • Positional Training: This session dives into what it takes for each role on the court to operate effectively and consistently at a high level. While some of our other summer programs cover a general array of skills, this one will hone in on the specifics of your primary role on the court.
  • Youth Training: Begin your volleyball journey! This session serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of volleyball through creative games and drills that help build strength while covering the sport's most essential concepts. Two waves will be available: 10-12 year olds, and 9 & Under.
  • Private/Group Lessons: For those that aren't able to commit to a camp or would rather keep a specific focus on their reps, we are also offering Private/Group Lessons on our indoor courts! These are an excellent resource for athletes of all levels, and we're excited to add this option back into our programming.

Sand Volleyball With Loyola University's Matt McCarthy

Compete and learn the beach game this summer with our 2020 Sand Volleyball training program! Beach volleyball provides athletes with a wide range of benefits that transition to the indoor game, including better conditioning, increased vertical, improved all around volleyball skill-set, and teamwork.

Each session will run 1.5 hour practices twice per week, for a total of 6 training dates. All  practices will be held at Prairie View Park - see our sand page for additional scheduling details. Please note that you should keep the athlete's grade for the upcoming fall in mind when registering (9th grade in the fall = High School registration).

Grass Volleyball

Lace up and take on a brand new outdoor option this summer with our 2020 Grass Volleyball training program! Much like on the sand, grass volleyball provides athletes with a wide range of benefits that transition to the indoor game, including better conditioning, body control, increased vertical, improved all around volleyball skill-set, and teamwork.

Each Grass Camp session will run 2 hour practices twice per week, for a total of 4 training dates.  All practices will be held at Fairview on the fields near our usual gym entrance. Please note that you should keep the athlete's grade for the upcoming fall in mind when registering (9th grade in the fall = High School registration).
